Goal and Purpose of the Job:

  • To oversee multiple cohorts of trainee apprentices, delivering high quality education ensuring that that develop a range of practical skills associated with the application of Liquid Applied Membrane Roofing Systems
  • Provide support and work with the LRWA CEO to fulfil the training objectives of the association

Management Tasks:

  • To plan, manage and deliver the Specialist Applied-skills Programme (SAP) to prepare learners for their on-site assessment to achieve a Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Waterproof Membrane Roofing Systems (Construction) – Liquid Applied Membrane Roofing Systems
  • To prepare lesson plans to ensure the CITB standards, knowledge, skills and behaviours align to the delivery method (classroom and practical).
  • To work with trainers from external suppliers and LRWA approved delivery partners to ensure that they meet the expected CITB Short Training Standards
  • To track and monitor learners progress by ensuring that assessment methods (tests, reflective learning, self-directed study) are effectively undertaken
  • To communicate effectively with learners and employers that provides assurances that learners are making progress in accordance with employer expectations by monitoring feedback and satisfaction rates.
  • To work with LRWA Admin Support to ensure that all CITB processes are followed and the that Short Training Standards are periodically reviewed and updated
  • To represent LRWA as and when may be required at relevant industry level meetings related to training

Qualifications

  • Level 3 Award in Education and Training (EAT)
  • Driving License
  • Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (RQF)

Experience

  • Experience of training people of all ages and differing learning styles
  • Practical experience of contracting, flat roofing and/or liquid roofing

  •  IT literate, public speaking,
